Kuala Lumpur City Gallery

Jamek Mosque
Jamek Mosque, officially Sultan Abdul Samad Jamek Mosque, is one of the oldest mosques in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is located at the confluence of the Klang and Gombak River and may be accessed via Jalan Tun Perak. The mosque was designed by Arthur Benison Hubback, and built in 1909.
Sultan Abdul Samad Building
Built in 1897 and span across 137.2m, Sultan Abdul Samad is the most prominent building right opposite the padang. The 41m high clock tower, arched colonnades and copper domes are of the Moghul style.
Union Jack Flagpole
A 95-metre flagpole, one of the tallest in the world, is located at the southern end of the square. A flat, round black marble plaque marks the location where the Malayan flag was raised for the first time.
Dataran Merdeka
Dataran Merdeka or Merdeka Square is undoubtedly KL’s best known landmark. It is set in front of the Sultan Abdul Samad Building (the former State Secretariat). Directly in front is the Royal Selangor Club and to the north is St. Mary’s Church.
St. Mary's Cathedral
This is one of the oldest Anglican churches in Southeast Asia. The church was designed by A.C. Norman based on Early English Gothic architecture.
Royal Selangor Club
The Selangor Club was founded in 1884 for members with high social status. Those who register under this heritage tour get the exclusive privilege to enter the premises.
Rumah Tangsi (Loke Chow Kit Mansion)
This Loke Chow Kit mansion is also known as 10 Tangsi where the house was built, 10 Tangsi Road. This is the Loke Chow Kit House which was declared National Heritage in 2012.
Kuala Lumpur Tourism Bureau
Located in Jalan Tangsi, the Tourism Bureau is housed in a heritage building known as Lot 11. It is also called 11 Tangsi. Built in 1903, this is one of the finest buildings in the city. The Tourism Bureau assists in the development of tourism products and infrastructure for the city.
Lake Garden
Situated right smack in the city is the Lake Gardens but despite being in a central location, many have not ventured into this lovely park. The Lake Gardens covers 91.6 hectares spanning parks and gardens. Established in 1888, the place was built around an artificial lake and many joggers and families flock there for a stroll, jog or just a fresh breath of air.
Masjid Negara
The National Mosque of Malaysia is located at Kuala Lumpur. The mosque has a large capacity of 15,000 people and is surrounded by lush greenery which expands to a 13-acre land. The mosque was actually built on the site of a church in 1965. The best features of the mosque are the 73 meters high minarets and its 16 pointed star concrete which is its main roof. There are many meanings to the design of the mosque. The main roof's design was inspired from the idea of an open umbrella while the minarets were like a folded umbrella. The mosque has been standing firm on its grounds since then and is now deemed as an important symbol of the Islamic country of Malaysia
Dayabumi Complex
The Dayabumi Complex or Kompleks Dayabumi, is a major landmark in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It houses several commercial facilities and is one of the first skyscrapers to be built in the city. It is located near the National Mosque, the Old Kuala Lumpur Railway Station and the Federal House at Jalan Sultan Hishamuddin. It was designed in a modern Islamic style. The facade of the tower is adorned with patterns of eight-pointed stars, and Islamic arches at the top and bottom of the tower.
